The Changing Lives Gala is an occasion to honor our students and alumni for their tenacity, courage and hard work, and to recognize our corporate and community partners for helping us promote educational opportunity, student success and academic excellence.

Success stories shared at the Changing Lives events inspire potential students from under-represented groups to pursue their dreams of higher education.

Our College, with a mission to provide residents with a "quality affordable education" is lowering the cost roadblock that so many people encounter in their pursuit of a degree.   We are a recognized "Leader College" in reducing the achievement gaps of first-time students and are joining with business and institutional neighbors in making Connecticut's capital city a growing destination for employment, history, culture and education.

This year CCC is marking 10 years of innovation and growth at the downtown campus which opened in 2002.  We'll be sharing exciting news about our Hartford Heritage program that is extending the classroom into the city's rich cultural and historic institutions.
